Keynote Speaker: David Pasquini, UK Consul in San Diego, Government & Business Affairs

Mr. Pasquini will be speaking about Fundamental Leadership Qualities in Times of Uncertainty and share his insights about three leadership qualities:

  • Vision:  Recognize the importance of having a vision as a compass to direct your steps
  • Resilience: Realize the significance of being flexible and improvising to deal with small and manageable challenges as way to accomplish larger one
  • Courage and Integrity: Be brave to do the right thing while balancing the needs of internal and external stakeholders. Be honest about your strengths, weaknesses, what you know, and what you don’t know.

David Pasquini has been the UK Consul based in San Diego, California, since October 2016. In this role, he is responsible for the UK’s political and economic relationship with the San Diego region. Prior to this position, he worked as a Vice-Consul for the UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT), developing and delivering the UK’s investment and trade promotion strategy for the USA in the aerospace, defence, marine, and automotive sectors. David holds a BA in International Affairs and a Minor in Immigration Studies from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and worked in the international aftermarket auto-parts industry prior to joining the Department for International Trade.
